Vanilla Ice arrested in South Florida
ELLINGTON, Florida (AP) - Vanilla Ice was arrested in South Florida on a simple battery.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, said the 39-year-old rapper was arrested late Thursday night after an incident at his home, Wellington. He was detained without commitment.
It was not known if he is a lawyer. A message left with her, the agent was not immediately returned early Friday morning.
The rapper, whose real name is Robert Van Winkle, spent a night in jail, arrested during the year 2001, after after a domestic dispute.
He sold 15 million copies of the single “Ice Ice Baby” in 1990.
