Visa warns banks for Security accounts
An electronic copy of the Bank Heist card account numbers has suspended the visas of thousands of potential customers for fraud in Germany, banking industry officials said Monday.
The incident - a computer security at a major retailer - is thought to have compromised an undetermined number card and debit card accounts registration, including some in Florida, said Visa. The company alerted SunTrust Bank and other banks, the cards are issued.
Atlanta-based SunTrust said a small portion of its 1.8 million users of the registration card has been suspended. The Bank is issuing new cards. It began in early November notifying customers. “We are monitoring the situation and immediate action to protect your account,” the file.
